BayWISS doctoral candidate David C. Lotero is taking part in the summer school “Demokratische Krise und kritische Perspektiven im digitalen Zeitalter in Lateinamerika”. It is being held from 4th to 11th May 2025 and is organised by the institute CAPAZ (German Colombian Peace Institute) in Medellín, Colombia.

During this event, David C. Lotero will be presenting a poster on his research on the usage of virtual reality to portray the Colombian armed conflict. A collaborative book is being written as a result of the summer school, in which he is collaborating with the article “Gärten der Erinnerung: Virtual Reality und die Archive des Traumas”. Publication is planned for the end of 2025.
